Is trump a clever manipulator or an incredible idiot?

I mean all this bullshit he keeps vomiting out: Obama tapped his phones, the news is fake, the polls were biased.
Is it the tactic to distract from his egregious behavior or is it just the infantile flailing of an entitled, narcissistic man-child?

@UnparalleledMonster: That was the whole point of the 2016 election after the Bernie ship had sailed. Pick the one with the experience and better temperament. Both politicians lie, but only one of them knows how to pilot the plane. Unfortunately, while the Republicans were riled up for Trump, an important demographic that makes up the Democratic Party (millennials) were too busy throwing their temper tantrum over our favorite candidate's loss all the way into election day. And of course, the FBI's October surprise was the icing on the cake even though it turned out to be nothing.
