Why do countries with larger amounts of Syrian refugees have more terrorist attacks?

Please explain this to me. I know why, but I want to hear the opinions of people who would like to bring more Syrian refugees in to the U.S.

This is in response to the ORLY attacks in Paris.

PLEASE, if you are against Syrian refugees coming to the U.S. don't answer this question. I want to hear other opinions.

There's no real evidence of this. Keep in mind that half of the Syrian refugees are children, and that the countries who have taken the most (Turkey, Germany) aren't seeing the kind of spike in terrorism you'd expect from such vast numbers. Germany has taken in 600k refugees compared to France's 11k. So you'd think that Germany would have 60x more terrorist attacks and they just don't.

Also, the terrorist attacks are nearly always carried out by citizens, not refugees.

This is about understanding how ISIS recruits. Their goal is to make life as miserable as possible for Muslims who have not joined. If young Muslims deal with alienation, racism, and no promise of a great future, ISIS is appealing. Terrorist attacks make people hate all Muslims more, and ISIS profits off of that. ISIS may also attack countries that take in refugees because they want people to turn away the refugees.

In wake of this, the right thing to do is to welcome and be good neighbors to everyone regardless of religion or race, and take in people who need help. The alternative is either hatred or cowardice, and we should be better than that.

Most of the refugees coming in are males in their mid-20s.
Germany has also had a very large increase in terrorist attacks. Not to mention that those refugees all somehow have iPhones and stuff. Not sure where they get them but that's interesting haha.
Cowardice is running rather than protecting your country, which is what those "refugees" are doing.

jerry, alienation? Really? Even here in the US muslims do not assimilate. It has NEVER been about them being ignored, left out, or alienated. They refuse to assimilate. Note the calif attack where the couple slaughtered their coworkers who had given them a fucking shower. You can't get more inclusive that that. Stop being part of the problem. They don't attack because they were "alienated" they attack because they don't assimilate and cling to their ideology. and the reason they don't assimilate is because they are already radicalized in their thoughts.

@heatherpommelman - I am not a liberal. And fleeing because someone turned your city into rubble and promised the death of your family is not cowardice. What a horrible thing to say.

@katielass - How many Muslims have you discussed this theory with? Because I have Muslim friends and co-workers and they're getting along fine.

Lemme be clear. The problem is not that people from Muslim countries cannot adapt to western society because there's plenty of evidence to the contrary. The arguments you're using were used against every wave of immigrants ever and repeatedly failed to hold up in history. Germans, Norwegians, the Dutch, the Irish, Ukrainians, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese - it goes on - ALL of them got "They aren't like us and will never learn to be like us."

It's not that they can't adapt to western society, it's that people like you won't accept them.

@TyphoidJerry: Jerry, it doesn't matter if you're the only white guy in a factory of muslims. It does not change the fact that they do not assimilate into western society. A stray one here and there means nothing. The couple who slaughtered their coworkers in calif. right after being given a shower , they were allegedly assimilated too. IDK why you people don't get it, perhaps because you don't want to get it.

@heatherpommelman: Well when rockets start shelling the outskirts of your town, men with guns are marching everywhere, a firefight breaks out at the local grocery store, and a suicide bomber kills 9 people in a nearby church, let's see how you handle it Rambo, let alone if you had kids to think about.
