Why are all Trump supporters idiots and all Hillary/Bernie supporters radical and condescending?

Don't lump the Sanders supporters in with the Clintonites. We don't appreciate it very much.

I kinda only meant the sanders supporters haha. Most of you guys are crazy protesters and radicals.
Radical is what Republicans have been doing the last thirty years. Sanders is basically asking we just stop doing that and go back to doing what FDR did and what Europe still kindasorta sometimes does.

@IvanKaramazov: No protesting and making banners asking for the death of the president is radical.
Protesting is radical? Wut? And maybe you missed the last eight years or something, but your guys were doing that to Obama before he even got into office. Even though, in contrast to the current state of affairs, Obama wasn't obviously unhinged.
heatherpommelman · 31-35, F
@IvanKaramazov: Lmaoooo we filled the streets with radical protests???? No we defo did not. And if we called for the death of Obama that would be considered racist. And I have nothing against protesting, I just don't like when people who claim to be for unity and acceptance chant for someone's death. It's very hypocritical.
Not the protests, the death threats. I realize now my sentences following each other like that is confusing. Do I have to go get sources, are you seriously going to deny that the right-wingers had a bigger hateboner for Obama than they ever had for any other Democrat, Hillary included?

@Ivan. I wouldn't appreciate it either if I was you. Mrs Clinton is odious.
heatherpommelman · 31-35, F
@IvanKaramazov: Oh no I agree with you. But at least those dumbasses weren't public with it and it wasn't as massive as the death to Trump movement.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
@IvanKaramazov: I'm a two time Obama voter who has always found a Mrs Clinton to be odious. I voted for President Trump and would and will do so again. I have never protested or supported violence in politics.
@heatherpommelman: In the absence of reliable statistical information, I'll just have to let the assertion slide. What is bigger or worse is a bit of a matter of perspective. IIRC the Secret Service had to deal with more people threatening Obama than any other president. So I'll leave that there.

@Jackjjacksonjr: I hated Clinton. I'd have dearly loved to see Sanders get the nomination, but like my dad said right from the beginning, he wasn't really a Democrat (my dad's still sort of an Eisenhower Republican). The DNC wanted him out the moment he became a threat.
heatherpommelman · 31-35, F
@IvanKaramazov: Are you serious? More people threatening Obama? They had to update their entire security personal because Trump received more threats during the interim period when he was president elect than Obama during his entire term.
@heatherpommelman: I'd like to know where you got that information.
heatherpommelman · 31-35, F
@IvanKaramazov: Thanks you just got me 20 bucks 😂😂😂😂 I bet my friend 20 bucks that that would be your reply 😂😂😂😂😂😂 you Bernie supporters are so predictable. Just got it by comparison. Looked at how many tweets were tweeted for obamas death and for trumps.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
@heatherpommelman:

You planning to buy us lunch with your winnings?
@heatherpommelman: So you mock asking for evidence for unsubstantiated claims, and you chalk this up to a political thing? I asked because I couldn't find anything on it pursuant to a brief Google search (unlike you, far as I can see, I actually like doing research before I assert something as fact). I've tried to be nice here, but I'm not seeing a lot of hope for you. I don't follow twitter. I have precisely no idea how many death threats were tweeted against him or Obama. I follow the statistics provided by the Secret Service. But you go ahead and keep basing your whole worldview on confirmation bias and social media. I'll stick to statistical data - you know, hard evidence - thanks much.
heatherpommelman · 31-35, F
@IvanKaramazov: Hard evidence is what you stick to? Wow... then when exactly has trump been a racist? And btw saying Illegals need to be deported is not racist and saying many drug dealers are rapists are coming also isn't racist (in fact it's true).

Also show me those figures because there is literally NO WAY obama received as many death threats as Trump. I see these liberals chanting death to Trump in the streets everyday (I'm in Boston). Never saw that anywhere about Obama even in hillbilly incest redneck conservatard places.
@heatherpommelman: Nope, you're actually right about the death threats against Obama thing. My information was out of date. Here's the politifact bit: http://www.politifact.com/georgia/statements/2013/mar/18/julian-bond/no-concrete-evidence-support-claim/

As to Trump's racism, you are taking one very, very charitable reading of his remark. Too charitable, I would say. The relevant one that I think you might be referring to is the one that goes, "When Mexico sends its people, they're not sending their best. They're sending people that have lots of problems...they're bringing drugs, they're bringing crime. They're rapists. And some, I assume, are good people." Now you could pretend that somehow he switched from meaning "Mexican immigrants" to "drug dealers" at some point in that jumble, only to switch back to "Mexican immigrants" for that last sentence, but that strains credibility. The reading on the face of it is that he was talking about Mexican immigrants, called most of them drug dealers or rapists, and then as an afterthought said there might be some good ones in the bunch.

But that aside, this bit is a decent primer on Trump's history of handling race relations: http://www.vox.com/2016/7/25/12270880/donald-trump-racism-history . If that one isn't enough for you, then I really have nothing further to say. At a certain point, the patterns are obvious. And although you can't look right into his mind and go, "Yep, there's the racism," you can get a pretty good idea of what he believes based on his actions. Especially when you consider that the white supremacists and Neo-Nazis flocked to him in droves. Not to say guilt by association should be telling, but Trump lacks much in the way of actual policy. He's mostly rhetoric. And these people lap it up, and he seems rather blithely okay with that.
heatherpommelman · 31-35, F
@IvanKaramazov: That scum always flocks to the Republican Party. But I genuinely, as someone of Hispanic descent, don't think he's a racist. Most of the people who come here illegally are criminals of some sort. Whether they're drug dealers or just people stealing stuff that's who they are. Many are good people, but many are also criminals. Actually all are criminals because they've just violated the US law on borders.
