How are we gonna survive Trump

how is america going to cope with somebody who lies all the time. It's just so embarrasing to watch, this stupid insecure guy, getting into these petty squabbles, all the time....

can't we get rid of this Trump guy somehow?

1. Vote Democrat in 2018 and in 2020. Don't do the third party thing. Third party votes got us Trump.
2. Keep tabs on everything that's going on so you know how to protect yourself from any of his executive orders if any one of them happens to affect you personally.
3. Donate to organizations that are now going to be in peril under the Trump administration in order to continue to help fund climate change research, human rights organizations and Planned Parenthood.
4. Speak your mind. Join protests and anti-Trump rallies. Don't let him get away with anything unconstitutional.
5. Get a passport if you don't have one. You know, just in case things get so bad that you really do have to move to Canada because the country is being bombed mercilessly as a result of a Twitter war he got into with Kim Jong-un. Have a Plan B in case the US becomes unlivable.

That's all I got.

Don't vote for the candidate you support because that is wrong...

Hey, you can vote for a candidate you support if you want. Just don't get upset if your third party vote not only went nowhere but also allowed Trump to maintain his place in the White House instead of removing him. I simply answered the question of how to get rid of him in a realistic manner. You can't always have it both ways. Third party candidates have not even come close to winning a single election as of 2016.

@deadmoon: Because people are perpetuating that exact ideology.

@jackaloftheazuresand It doesn't mean it will always be that way. I do believe we'll have a three party system someday. But this election year we were up against two of the most hated presidential candidates in the history of the US and a third party candidate STILL couldn't win the election. Couldn't even obtain enough support from voters to join in on the debates. A third party system is surely on the way, but it's going to take years. Many, many, many years before a third party candidate becomes competitive. We may not even live to see a third party candidate win an election. If it couldn't happen this election, then I have no idea what it will take but it will take a lot more than that and until then, it's not realistic.
