1. Neighbors were deported. 2. My doctor fears for her safety. 3. My mothers pension could be cut. 4. If my work buys new insurance, I could be booted off due to pre exiting conditions or denied coverage all together. 5. My parents may not be able to retire after 39+ years of paying into SS. 6. 80+ year old Grandmothers' SS and Medicare could be cut. 7. Mother could see a pay cut. 8. Father could be booted of his insurance. 9. Medication costs could go up. 10. Copays have already gone up. 11. Emboldened nazis are coming out of the woodwork.
@Jackjjacksonjr: She is my pal. I know her well, and have had several discussions with her on race relations. And I don't pal around with racists. BB does not have a racist bone in her body. Racism of any stripe is repugnant to BB. You know not of what you speak.
If you had any integrity you would apologize to her. You are dead wrong. And have ventured into the realm of libel.
@Niburu: They have no other plan. They've stated their intention to repeal the coverage that currently exists. And the EO is signed. Moderate Republicans had asked Trump to wait until he has something to replace it, but he's refused. Vague descriptions like "it's going to be great" might be enough for you, but most want to know where they will actually stand.
@bijouxbroussard: 1) you don't know that for sure, there been all kinds of discussion about saving numerous popular provisions 2) yay! we need to remove it to see what was in it
@Niburu: You contradict yourself. There is no other plan for the people who are going to lose their healthcare, yet you applaud them losing their healthcare. A "discussion" doesn't pay the doctor's bills.
Again, no one here (including you) has any idea what is going to actually happen.
Regardless of anything else the ACA is going to fall apart and be unaffordable anyway (by design).
It can either be pulled down now and some modified version or something else new be put in. Or you can watch it self destruct in the next 2 years as the insurance companies pull out and people can't afford the scheduled premium increases.
@Niburu: As I said, moderate Republicans asked him to leave things in place until they could come up with a viable replacement. But due to spite Trump and his cronies would rather leave their constituents with no safety net at all. And anyone not blinded by Trump worship can see it clearly. Even if Trump was taking steps to expand Medicare (which would've been Bernie's solution), it would be something.
