Do u strongly believe that the US is past its prime ?

I think that even in a post recession 911 world the US still remains strong. We started the industrial revolution. And if we didnt we sure as hell to it to the next level with our innovative technology. We had the nifty 20s. The roaring 50s. And then came the 1990s. The age of the dotcom boom. Given where we are right now do you believe that America is past her prime

I think that a lot of the positive things that made this country unique have been steadily degrading for more than 50 years now, with way too much power increasingly concentrated in the hands of the executive branch. I think that personal freedoms, as well as and checks and balances on governmental and presidential power, have all become increasingly rare. And I wonder, with such an overtly narcissistic guy like Trump, if all that power will finally be used to do something truly terrible. If not him, then it'll happen eventually.
