Welll...dontcha know that he's gonna bring sharia law upon the entire country? And we will no longer have christmas! Can you imagine?
Ted cruz says people will die!
You will not hear a cogent arguement against him. The attack ads are many and mind numbing.
I voted for him.

I think he could be a little more left wing. But that's about all I've got. He's still very much in camp capitalism. Overall he's very sharp and good at shutting down hecklers and operatives planted by his opposition. I'm not a fan of having another religious person in government, but at least he seems to live the more positive aspects of his faith. He seems pretty solid overall. Though the bar for someone in the federal government is in hell right now, so it's not too hard to clear it.

1. He is more liberal than I am in many areas, including health care, but that’s OK. It takes different viewpoints to work our way toward practical solutions.
2. Given the demographics of our country and the realities of global politics, the Senate would benefit from having a Muslim member.
3. As a Jew, I am deeply concerned with many of his views on Israel. He equates their government with Hamas, and does not seem to acknowledge their right to exist as a Jewish state. He claims to oppose all “ethnostates” but I’m not sure I’ve heard him criticize any ones other than the only Jewish one. I acknowledge very legitimate criticisms of Israel’s conduct toward the Palestinians. But in my view, he goes much too far.
I understand others feel differently in all these points and especially the last. I’m not going to enter a debate on the topic. I wanted to answer your question (especially because I deeply respect your own views on these issues). But if any responses to this go off the rails I’ll take this down immediately.

@Harmonium1923 You don't have to be forced into an argument. You said your opinions. If it turns to a toxic debate, I will delete and censor and even block.
Yes, we disagree on the last point for variety of reasons we both already know.

@Miram Miram, you are the person here with whom I would most value the opportunity to sit down with some time for a long and thoughtful discussion on the topic. I know I would learn a lot from you.

I'm curious as well but I'm not sure if anyone has any good reason for not supporting him. So far it's all attacks on his religion.
