We could see a massive fight over the midterm election results in the coming weeks. According to new MS NOW reporting, people close to the White House expect that multiple election results could be challenged after Election Day, raising the prospect that the battle over control of Congress could extend well beyond Nov. 3rd. Frankly I'm pissed at the Alaskan Dems who conspired to put a bogus candidate on the ballot. They knew exactly what they were doing. I don't know how illegal it was but it was wrong and someone should have said "hell no". I also don't know if Peltola knew about it but I suspect she did.

This was a winnable seat that we can probably kiss goodbye. I donated to her campaign twice.

Edit: I originally thought this was Daniel J Sullivan doing this on his own with maybe the encouragement of a few friends. I don't believe that anymore. I believe this was a conspiracy from the top of the Alaskan Dem party and should be condemned.

@MoveAlong I absolutely agree with your sentiments, and the worst part is I can’t see how any of it could actually be illegal. Ultimately it’s up to Dan J. Sullivan if he wants to run for the Senate or not, and if he’s going to he should register with his legal name. Democrats are going to lose this seat that they otherwise would have won for trying to be sneaky basically because of the bad publicity, not because they actually did anything illegal. Total unforced error.

@KunsanVeteran As I understand it in Alaska the winner must receive a majority of the vote or there will be a runoff.

@JPWhoo Correct that as long as he registered under his legal name and any other required prerequisite information was legit, then it’s not illegal.

Of course, The White wont challenge the results where they win. Having said that, its possible for the result for any electorale where a Republica wins to be challenged on the grounds of the inability of the electorate to understand what an election is..😷
