NY rejects 16,000 Trump ICE detainers for illegal aliens accused or convicted in over 52,000 crimes
New York blew off 16,000 Trump administration ICE orders to detain suspected heinous illegal aliens accused or convicted in more than 50,000 criminal charges, disturbing new data show.
The Department of Homeland Security said the municipalities across the Dem-driven state have refused to comply with its detainment requests 16,070 times since President Trump re-entered office fewer than two years ago — refusing to hand over criminal aliens suspected or convicted of everything from murder to kidnapping and sexual assault.
“While sanctuary politicians continue to release dangerous criminals onto their streets, our brave law enforcement officers will continue to risk their lives to arrest these heinous criminals and make America safe again. Illegal aliens have no sanctuary in America,” DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin said.
“We enforce these laws with no help from Mayor Mamdani and Governor Hochul.
“The Trump Administration is committed to protecting the American people in every city and every state, and we won’t let sanctuary politicians stand in our way,” Mullin said.
