Judge tells RFK JR. to stop citing fake AI studies

We need stronger penalties here than a mere judicial rebuke. We need to subpoena and examine how these false links got incorporated into HHS studies and where they originated. There may be a case for research misconduct here.

Right now it seems that some at HHS are willing to play fast & loose with the facts. The reason for investigating and charging research misconduct would be to provide a strong disincentive for HHS underlings to allow lies to spread.

The False Statements Act (18 U.S.C. § 1001), applies to making materially false, fictitious, or fraudulent statements or representations to federal agencies (including data fabrication or false certifications on grant forms). Penalties: Up to 5 years in prison per count, plus criminal fines.

this administration feels it does not need to obey the courts! It is totally amazing. If you or I were to do the same, we would be arrested immediately!
