Cry-Baby-trump proclaims mission accomplished...

= Iran didn't surrender

= Iran still has nuclear capabilities

= Iran controls the Strait of Hormuz

= American consumer prices are sky high

Who needs reality when you can have artificial victory?

The only way to win tRump's Iran conflict was to never start it. Unfortunately, tRump & Hegseth FIRED everyone in the Pentagon who tried to tell this hard truth. In short, tRump & Hegseth have done FAR more damage to the US military than Iran ever managed. SAD!!

@ElwoodBlues exactly.
Whether on purpose or not, he has weakened everything. The economy, the military, alliances, our national mental well being...everything.
Do you remember the cult wailing on about our oil reserves? Someone mentioned how biden did that just a couple of weeks ago. But not a word about how we are now running on fumes.
We are as vulnerable now as we have ever been.
Why would he do that? Why would his party allow it? He is literally murdering people floating in oceans.
And Canada? I live in michigan...
Again...why? I get why trump is what he is. He ruins everything he touches. He's a sociopath. He has delutions of grandeur.
But the whole of the republican party?
@Carla I think the short answer to "why the whole party" is they've come to value power far more than anything religion or ethics or anything else. And so they'll do almost anything to hang onto power.

Former Republican David French wrote this recently:
... The modern right isn’t really conservative any longer. It’s “anti-left,” Shapiro said. And when it became primarily anti-left it adopted an ethos that declared that the enemy of my enemy was my friend — even if your new “friend” is a loathsome person sharing profoundly hateful or deranged views.

... In some quarters of the new right, this view hardened into a doctrine that goes by the acronym NETTR, short for “no enemies to the right.” NETTR is different from the 11th Commandment popularized by Ronald Reagan: “Thou shalt not speak ill of any Republican.” NETTR, in essence, means that Republicans shall not speak ill of any fascist.
