Kamala Harris Issues Dire Warning That SAVE America Act Could Result In America Being Saved
As heated debate continued to rage across the nation and on Capitol Hill over legislation designed to secure U.S. elections, former Vice President Kamala Harris issued a dire warning that the SAVE America Act could result in America being saved.
In a video statement posted to social media, Harris urgently pleaded with Americans to consider the consequences they would face if Congress were to pass the SAVE America Act and thereby save America.
"This is not an outcome we want to see," Harris said in the video. "It's called the ‘SAVE America Act,' and I am here to regretfully inform you that, should it be passed by the Republicans in Congress, it would, in fact, save the United States of America. We're not playing around here. This president is serious when he says he wants to save America. We can't let him do that, ya'll."
Long a priority for the Trump administration, the SAVE America Act would require everyone to show identification in order to vote, thereby making elections far more secure and more immune to fraud. This is not, Harris says, something any American should tolerate. "We cannot stand idly by while this president does what's best for America," she continued. "I urge everyone to carefully consider what might happen if this country is saved from destruction. Do you want to live in that America? I'm not sure I do."
At publishing time, Harris had posted a follow-up video warning Americans that secure voting could have a catastrophic effect on efforts to rig future elections.
