Trump switched planes in Turkey due to ASSASSINATION threat:
New reporting this morning about an assassination threat against President Trump last month that's just now coming to light. The Washington Post reports President Trump secretly flew out of the NATO Summit in Turkey back in July, not on Air Force One, but on a different military aircraft while the White House made it appear he was flying on Air Force One. The Post reveals the operation was prompted by an Iranian assassination threat against Trump. The Hill’s Julia Manchester joins Way Too Early to discuss the latest on the reported threat, the stalemate with Iran, and more.
My comments:
If this was a “secret” or “classified” as tRUMP & Kegsbreath are now attempting to claim, it certainly was not handled very well at all.
At the time he was attempting to board the Qatari bribe plane—and I posted this at the time—the Secret Service stopped him in Turkey and told him he could not use that plane and (we thought at the time took him on board an older Air Force One [there are several AF-1s actually] because they did hide the shuffling of him to a third plane via a loading truck) due to an Iranian credible death threat.
But all along there were concerns that the Qatari plane was not adequately equipped for missile/drone/fighter jet defense, command & control, security, etc. and that it would take many, many months to so equip it even if it could be done!
In fact, there were rumors (probably not credible, however) of a Qatari kill switch which supposedly could “disable” all or certain aspects of the plane.
Now I hear that people were fired and may face criminal charges because they are calling this a “security leak???”
C’mon! These fools are rank amateurs trying to compete in the Big Leagues! They better wise up fast!!!
