14-Year-Old Charged as Adult After Pizza Delivery Driver Killed in Robbery Setup

A month-long investigation into the killing of a Philadelphia pizza delivery driver has resulted in an arrest, with police charging a 14-year-old suspect as an adult.

Sincere Camps is facing 10 charges, including murder, robbery, and firearms offenses, following the June 5 death of 28-year-old Anshul Kuncha.

Police said officers responded around 12:32 a.m. on June 5 to a report of a person with a gun in the 2300 block of Edgley Street in North Philadelphia.

When officers arrived, they found Kuncha lying unresponsive with a gunshot wound to the back of the head.

He was taken to Temple University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival, police said, according to ABC News.

Investigators said Kuncha was working as a pizza delivery driver when he was sent to the Raymond Rosen Homes housing complex.

Police said he had delivered an order to a vacant apartment before he was shot.

Police said the discovery of the unopened food and delivery bag inside the vacant apartment suggested Kuncha had reached the destination before the shooting occurred outside.

According to police, surveillance footage showed two individuals wearing dark clothing following Kuncha as he walked toward the vacant property. Investigators said one person was wearing a dark backpack.

Police also recovered three spent shell casings near the area where Kuncha was found, which officials said became part of the evidence collected during the investigation, according to FOX 29.

Police said the motive behind the shooting was robbery.

After more than a month of investigation, authorities arrested Camps on July 10. He is being held without bail and is scheduled to appear in court on July 21.

The case has drawn attention because of the age of the suspect and the severity of the charges.

Authorities have not released additional details about whether other suspects could face charges, although investigators said surveillance footage showed two individuals near Kuncha before the shooting.

Kuncha was a graduate of Drexel University’s LeBow College of Business and worked as a data analyst while also delivering pizzas, according to NRI Pulse.

He had moved to Philadelphia from India and had been building a life in the United States before his death.

His family has expressed grief over the loss and has sought assistance with returning his remains to India.

The investigation remains ongoing as police continue reviewing evidence connected to the shooting.

Authorities have not publicly identified who placed the pizza order or provided additional information about how the delivery was arranged.
