So, Mitch McConnell is 84…

This is at least the third fall McConnell has sustained since December 2024. He has had at least two petit mal seizures (also termed absence seizures) in public in that same period of time. I suspect that he had more than two as in the most public one caught on camera those closest to him seemed to recognize what was happening.

In the elderly (70 years or older), those who experience ground-level falls are much more likely to be severely injured and less likely to survive their injuries compared to those younger than 70 years. Elderly patients are three times as likely to die following a ground-level fall compared to their under-70 counterparts.

Now we don’t know any details as to “the fall” but assuming a ground level as the “best case scenario,” this is pretty dire news for the Republicans. Then one has to wonder about this “pneumonia” — did it pre-date the fall, was it hospital acquired, what about the 911 call to his residence “with CPR being rendered?”

Time to get Mitch into a skilled nursing facility I would say…

Bring on the Special Election!

He suffers from late polio effects. I still do not believe he is alive!
@samueltyler2 Well, I don’t see any reason to change my already dire prediction for his short term prognosis on the basis of his childhood polio.

@KunsanVeteran if he is even alive now!
@samueltyler2 I was just reading my morning Washington Post and there’s an article on McConnell’s health in recent years—it’s much worse than I realized. He has had multiple falls which have included concussions, broken ribs, and a wrist fracture. He has several falls on steps.

This sure doesn’t bode well for him. The article mentions his polio history but only comments that it “impacts his daily activities” and that “he has difficulties with steps.”
