Police are no angels even though my experience with them has been nothing else but great. This is because I am a good citizen. Police have no reason to be rough with me. The sight of a policeman or a police cruiser gives me assurance and makes me feel safe and protected. The cop can sense this and knows I am not a potential threat to them.
George Floyd was a potential threat to any policeman. He resisted arrest and fought four cops who tried to pin him down. I wouldn't blame any cop for punching him in the mouth to knock some sense into him. George Floyd was a thug, a convicted felon who was sent to jail multiple times. American thugs are known to carry guns. He was a big guy, much bigger than Derek Chauvin who was sent to jail for risking his life doing his job.
