‘Exploding oil.’ What is Trump talking about?

The clock is ticking for President Donald Trump to get a deal done with Iran.

Or maybe it’s the other way around: Iran could be dealing with a ticking time bomb – in its own oil wells! With just days to go before they’re destroyed.

That’s according to Trump, who can’t seem to stop talking about exploding oil.

April 23, Oval Office: “If they don’t get their oil moving, their whole oil infrastructure is going to explode. You know what that means? Because they have no place to store it and because they have no place to store it, if they have to stop it … something happens underground that essentially renders it in very poor shape and you never recover fully.”

April 26, Fox News: “When you have, you know, lines of vast amounts of oil pouring through your system, if for any reason that line is closed because you can’t continue to put it into containers or ships, which has happened to them (they have no ships because of the blockade), what happens is that line explodes from within, both mechanically and in the earth.”

May 4, Hugh Hewitt Show: “You know, their oil, when you turn off the oil, underground, and the mechanical too, but underground has a tendency in like almost 100% of the cases, to literally explode and just destroy everything around it. And you can never get that oil again.”
What in the world is he talking about?

There’s a kernel of truth in what Trump is saying, although it wouldn’t happen the way he’s describing it – and certainly not in the short timeframe he laid out.

The oil industry survived the oil shut in during the pandemic, as well as the occasional OPEC production caps.

However, switching back on is not going to be like flipping a switch, like Trump claims. And that''s even if Hormuz is opended.

I know what it means when trump keeps bombing Iran's oil infrastructure. It means every bombing run lengthens the time Iran is not pumping. And every storage and shipping facility bombed means it will take longer yet for Iran to rebuild that infrastructure and get back to supplying 24% of the work's supply of crude each day.

And that means gas at our pumps will stay high for longer yet.

The more trump destroys to get back at Iran for backing him down and making a fool of him.........the more that.....HURTS US. Experts are already saying with the damage trump has already done to Iran's oil industry it will take AT LEAST 3 YEARS for Iran to come back online and start to supply that 24% of the worlds crude supply daily again.

And that means the bullshit trump and Kegseth and Witkoff and Marco Rubio are pumping out about this being over soon and gas prices will IMMEDIATRLY go back to normal.........is 100% bullshit.
@anythingoes477 I agree with all of your points except one:

Iran did not make a fool of Demented Donnie—he did that all by himself!
Wow!! tRump is expressing concern about Iran losing oil income due to difficulties re-starting oil wells. Luckily for Iran, they can make up for that lost income with the transit fees they are now charging in the Strait of Hormuz!

tRump's concerns are misplaced🤣😂

So even more delays of high gas prices, if this sane war ever ends.

Well, this wouldn't have even happened if there was an over-budget ballroom.
