AOC Says She May Run for President in 2028.

I really wish she'd run for the U.S. Senate instead. She needs more experience in foreign affairs and national defense matters; and to stop listening to Bernie Sanders on anything involving defense spending.

She told an audience here, "My ambition is to change this country."

And that quote is going to get her into trouble.

Remember Barack Obama in 2008 saying he wanted to "transform" the United States?

What does it mean? Nothing really. It just means a political agenda so far undefined.

But the language scares some people because it is ambiguous.

Tell people what you want to do! If you can't do that, you're not ready to lead.

While I agree with you on AOC, you did ask what did Obama do that would "transform the United States". That would have been DEI in 2011.

So sad that in wasn't a constitutional amendment. That way it couldn't be stripped so ruthlessly by any future president. I doubt he could consider anyone like this dictator would get in office.

I'm not ready to rule anyone in or out yet. I hope someone emerges from the primaries who can speak eloquently and coherently about how we have lost our way and how to get back on the right path. Bashing trump and MAGA is not going to be enough.

The idea that a President needs experience in everything is ridiculous. A President does not have to be the smartest person in the room. They do however need to have the smartest, most well informed advisers in the room and in Cabinet. And a staff who can knit all that advice into a single policy for the nation...A President is only a figurehead for the nation.. That useless lump of wood that it nailed on the front of the ship..😷

Give your opponent something to latch onto that's made for ridicule (Kamala and her boisterous LAUGH - why did the slightest thing set her off like that? ) and AOC with the line you mentioned being recent examples, then it'll all be over before it starts.
