Spirit Airlines out of business under Trump..... comments ✈ 🛫. 👀

Here we go again. So you really think that the current Administration could not bail this company out. All they needed was a bail out. Not a merger which would have made the prices go up anyway. But it's ok for 400 million dollars to be spent on a ballroom right. You cannot be serious. This is beyond sad. 17,000.jobs lost here today.

They keep filing bankruptcy's, it seems it is a very poorly run company. Not worth bailing them out in my opinion.

@independentone Why not. Money being spent on this war. Surely this company should have been saved and restructured to save jobs.
@Zonuss They were poorly run even before Trump effed up the entire economy.
@independentone Margins are so tight in the airline industry that declaring Chapter 11 is just a way of doing business.

@independentone So what. Other companies were poorly ran too. Especially GM and Ford. Now they aren't selling any cars hardly this year.

@Zonuss those sales numbers are in comparison to having an almost record finish for the 2025 final quarter .
I myself don't know how though. I'll be damned if I'm paying today's price for a new anything on wheels

@Zonuss
GM and Ford are not selling ANY cars in Canada right now. The Asian markets have picked up the slack and offer a far superior product anyway, so GM and Ford's eventual demise would be no great loss for Canadians that's for sure.

@Gibbon Global sales perhaps. 🌍

@Zonuss
What about global sales? What point are you trying to make?
Gibbon · 70-79, M
@Zonuss Whatever. They are surviving. Spirit has been doomed for sometime. Their nickel and dime fee operation was a bad business model.
Zonuss · 46-50, M
@swirlie They can survive off global sales. They're worldwide.
Gibbon · 70-79, M
@Zonuss holy crap you really don't get it do you. They have had annual losses avg of $450 to over $500 million since the pandemic. They are in a nose dive with or without a bailout
Zonuss · 46-50, M
@Gibbon So. They are still making money.
These corporations have old money.
We know people like you don't know what that is.
Gibbon · 70-79, M
@Zonuss 👀 what an assumption to make. Both. Thinking they are making money and that I don't know what old money is. Geezx I'm 72 . For some reason you want to save a failing ill functioning airline. Maybe send them a check. It won't last though any longer then the 500 million would
