Armed Citizen Shoots Teen Who Allegedly Pointed Gun and Opened Fire at St. Louis Gas Station

A 15-year-old was shot and wounded after he allegedly pointed a gun at a man and opened fire at a south St. Louis gas station, according to police. The man returned fire, striking the teen, and remained at the scene to cooperate with investigators.

As reported by First Alert 4, the shooting happened around 3:45 p.m. near the intersection of South Grand and Park Avenue, in the city’s Tiffany neighborhood. Officers responding to the scene recovered multiple shell casings in the gas station parking lot.

Police said the initial investigation shows the teen produced a firearm, pointed it at the man, and then fired shots at him. The man drew his own firearm and returned gunfire, hitting the 15-year-old.

The teen was transported to a hospital and is listed in stable condition. The armed citizen who fired in response stayed at the scene and is cooperating with detectives, police confirmed.
