All we need is a doctor's certification to 25th Amendment this Ass.

Whenever the Vice President and a majority of the principal officers of the executive departments or of such other body as Congress may by law provide their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall immediately assume the powers and duties of the office as Acting President.

In other words, this cabinet will not make Vance acting president unless Trump is incapacitated, à la Woodrow Wilson, who suffered a debilitating stroke in his second term.

Is there a psychiatrist in the US who will certify Trump is insane?

Would that help anyone? The Cabinet appears to be Donald Trump appointees, so any such replacement might mean the same policies expressed in more rational language.

@ArishMell The Cabinet may all be Trump appointees but are they all mad?

@sree251 Not in any medical sense, no.....

@ArishMell Trump doesn't respond in a rational way. And the one thing that's certain is that he's a poor loser - and he may lash out in unexpected ways.

@sree251 I agree, and he hurts not only his fellow-Americans but other countries too.

@ArishMell The US President appears to be employing what's known as the "Madman Theory" in an attempt to end the war in Iran.

The strategy involves behaving in an irrational, erratic manner, and threatening to go to extreme lengths to end the war.

The idea is that you don't know whether the person will or won't do it, and the opposition will be scared into making a deal.

The issue with Trump's use of the strategy in the case of Iran, is that it relies upon a rational opposition.

In the case of either religious regimes or autocratic regimes, they often don't have that fear. Trump is both autocratic and a rabid evangelical Christian.

I don't believe Trump's strategy would be successful, because the IRGC doesn't care about what the US does.

Iran feels emboldened by Trump's increasingly extreme rhetoric ... I think they almost want it right now.
