I notice that Reform UK said they would scrap the Equalities Act (DEI equivalent) if they gain power

I would just like to point out to anyone cheering on Reform’s promise to repeal the Equalities Act that without it:

I can refuse to hire you because you are a white man

I can sack you because of who you love

I can ask who you voted for before I let you in a public space and refuse entry if you say Reform.

I can refuse to promote you and promote a poorly qualified woman based purely on gender.

If you’re in a redundancy situation I can make you redundant on the basis of your age and disability alone.

I can sack you because I think you’re too old to do your job because you’re over 50.

I can refuse to hire you on the basis you’ve only got a few years to retirement.

I can tell your daughter she cant have her job back after maternity leave because now she’s a mum, she’s not dedicated enough (she won’t forgive you for voting Reform by the way).

I can refuse to let you in a pub because white men have always caused trouble in there before and I just assume you’re the same.

And I can sack you because your menopause symptoms have made you a less efficient worker.

Without the Equalities Act, each one of those injustices would be completely legal.

Reform are saying ‘I want to remove your rights and protections’ with their whole chests and you lot are fawning over them because you hate people who don’t look like you more than you love anything.

Who made you this way? It wasn’t people with brown skin or blue hair.
