@sunsporter1649 I was too young in 1970 but in 1973 I was granted the Queens commission. When I retired 9 years later I was a captain. Canada didn't have any wars for the time I was in so I never faced actual combat. After I got out I became a Christian and now know that the killing of others is wrong. That all aside the job of the military is not to break things and kill people. It is to bring peace.

@sunsporter1649 Yawn. The objective is to bring peace to the world and the army is very very poor at doing that. There is no need for the present war in Iran. There is no need for the war in Lebanon. There is no need for the war in the West Bank or Gaza or Syria or.... Do you see one common denominator here? If you are always at war with your enemies then you are the problem.
