Why, after the disasters of Iraq and Afghanistan, would America contemplate sending ground troops into the Middle East again?

A: Because the POTUS is a desperate narcissist.

Trump's reality:

1. The war is very complete pretty much
2. Iran is desperate to make a deal.
3. They have given me a present.

Reality:

1. Iran is still fighting on all fronts,
2. Israel is still bombing
3. The strait of Hormuz remains largely closed
4. The Houthi have joined with Iran and could potentially block Red Sea trade routes.

The iranian navy and air force in action

@sunsporter1649 yet the strait remains closed, the regime is still in power, and now the Houthis are joining.

@sunsporter1649 20th century warfare was about tanks, carriers and planes. 21st century warfare is about missiles and drones.

@sunsporter1649 Another, worse Ayatollah has taken his place. Trump could not have played this worse.

@sunsporter1649 Iran never had an air force, they didn’t bother with one, they’ve been sanctioned for over 60 years, so wouldn’t be able to acquire spare parts etc, so for the last 40 years, they’ve concentrating on missiles, drones, hypersonic missiles etc, their navy is mainly speed boats that carry torpedoes and underwater drones, seems to be working very well for them, doesn’t it,

@sunsporter1649 Here's the problem. Trump is plainly in denial, claiming regime change has already been achieved via assassination. He has this strange habit of behaving like a spectator, detached from the chaotic events he himself sets in motion.

He acts as if the global energy shock, the US’s abject failure to defend the Hormuz strait and its Gulf allies, Iran’s unyielding defiance under fire, and the absence of the predicted popular uprising in Tehran have nothing to do with him.

He doesn’t understand Iran is fighting an asymmetric war, that even the biggest bombs cannot obliterate pride and ideology, faith and history.

That's why he's desperate for an out. I challenge you to respond without a meme or a deflection.
