@emiliya Oh, I'm happy for racists to be arrested when they open their mouths in public. Every day there are TV and radio programmes and satirical magazines mocking the government. It's normal for us to disparage our own country: ReformUK and the Conservatives have made it an art form.


So enough people have woken up to the fact that they are at war to make arresting them all a waste of time? But journalists are still not allowed to call the duck a duck. just a water fowl of indeterminate nomenclature. I assume all consumers of Russian TV are aware of this dichotomy.

@FreddieUK What to you is a racist? I think wanting them to be arrested is insane. Arrests are not to be taken lightly. A person should be arrested only when they have committed a crime. Like running over a child or smothering an elderly woman in her bed at night. Racists are not Ted Bundy, you know. They are just guys and girls you don't like.

Trump also calls Iran a military operation. How isn't Ukraine a military operation? Russian soldiers and Ukrainian soldiers engaged in military action. It is a military operation that most of Russia is behind. The people of Ukraine are the ones who are tired.

In this case, the purpose was never clearly stated, and the consequences -- world oil prices doubled; Russia & Iran the only nations increasing their oil exports -- are a disaster for the civilized world.

@Charity No... the point is, that if you want to declare war, you have to go through congress. But he didn't, and thus can't talk about "war". Hence, he needs to give it another word. But he's just blatanlty open about what he's doing.

Same goes for Alina Habba who Trump wanted to give the federal prosecutor seat in New Yersey. But he couldn't get her through the approval process, which runs through congress. But that's also something they didn't want to do, so they just left the seat open and let Habba do the work anyway. Then Habba got replaced by a triumverate, which was also not according to the rules.

And sensitive issues for the executive branch, once they come up in the house, Johnson just sidetracks it because he has the power to set the agenda. If Johnson doesn't do it, then Trump just declares a state of Emerency, in which he gets extraordinairy powers to do things and ignore congress.

Everything that the executive branch and the speaker of the house is doing right now, is taking away power from congress and funneling it into the executive. And at the end of the day, the real power of the poppulation lies within Congress.

It's Congress that through a tedious process, comes to consensus that formulates the descision that flows from all factions in society. They write the laws... the executives job is to execute those laws. But MAGA, is just about the executive branch. They don't like the judiciairy that binds and litmits the executive to it's constitutional duties, and they don't like the congress because then you have to talk to people you don't like and come to an agreement.

That's why this president, doesn't represent the people at all... it just represents its own voters. Those that are disenfranchised, should be a bit more then just pissed off.
