I say both. The Overton window has expanded at both edges of the political spectrum, and we see much more fragmentation than before.

You see much more radicalism and much less tolerance for opposing viewpoints and compromise.

Neither. It's actually gotten better at separating the two though on the feeds. You'll only tell if you look at the forums though.

Neither, but IF sites like this reflect US society fairly (a big "if", I suspect), they show a very bitterly divided society better at mutual abuse than understanding.

I feel like it's about the same, at least since I've been here. You've got your hardcore fascists and your hardcore leftists, and neither of them are giving any ground, for the most part. Although I have it on good authority that at least a couple of devout Trump supporters have finally figured out that he was conning them.
