Yahoo! Finance Reporter Tells People How They Can Magically Save $10,000 a Year.

How to save $10,000 in a year with the '$27.39 rule'
This savings strategy can help you build a solid financial safety net in just one year. Here's how it works.

The concept is simple: Transfer $27.39 to your savings account every day for one year. After 365 days, you’ll have a savings account balance of just about $10,000.

I'm not kidding! Yahoo! Actually PAYS a finance writer to come up with articles like that! A "senior writer," too! 🤣

Why didn't all the people working full-time and making the federal minimum wage of $7.25/hr (which works out to $15,080 think of that?

Why not tell people to simply put away a PENNY (if you can find any) and double that every day. In a month, you'll be a millionaire!

Anything to fill up a sound bite/paragraph, so they can justify the advertising space.

It costs money to do original reporting.

They put in sport, just because they don't have to do research. The athletes are already there, just waiting to be interviewed. And it's heaven, if those athletes have juicy gossip to say. Front page headlines with that, in extra bold font.

Why the weather report, three times in a half hour, every news cycle? 🤷🏻‍♂

It's the commercials that pay for such repetition. Not original reporting.

I've noticed even The View has a infomercial the last 15 minutes. On top of regular commercials at that. I turn it off then. It's the end of their research, that lawyers must look through.

And forbid if something gets past the lawyers. The network will cancel the whole program episode for that day.
