@independentone To be fair, this is not about the quality of the men and women , or even the senior Officers. The military have only two conflicting strategies. Total annihilation of an enemy by nuclear means.. Or attacking a smaller nation that has not effective means to counter..But the new drone technology levels part of that field.. And with assymetrical terrorist warfare a superpower like America has to contend with he horror of civilians being killed in any place they gather. the disruption to the way of life Americans value will be horrendous.. The Military cannot hope to defend against that..😷
