The MAGA "fanatics" will always say he never did anything. They ignore any evidence.

Think of Schultz in Hogan's heros: "I know nothing. I hear nothing. I see nothing".

Basically the same thing claimed during the Nuremberg trials. "It never happened".

BTW that joke in Hogan's heros was a pun, on the those same trials. Sadly, some never understood the pun.

By refusing to understand, they can ignore.

Consider it like a psychological block, or like a past trauma had happened. They don't want to confront what happened, so anything related to that is blocked.

This effect often happens in fanaticism. The Nazis where fanatics.
