If the US can easily invade Venezuela and threatens Cuba, why can't China take Taiwan?

Taking Taiwan would be like taking Long Island. All it takes is a blockade of Taiwan by the Chinese Navy. Why doesn't Xi use Trump's playbook and put an end to the standoff?

@sree251 The other thing is Xi does not believe Taiwan is a threat to China. Iran was not a threat to Israel, much less the US, but the trouble is the US POTUS has an IQ in single figures.
