Why are you at war? Various answers that suggests the Pedophile Cry-Baby-trump administration is at war with Iran because they knew Israel was going to strike and they wanted the USA to be proactive with the "feeling" that if Israel struck first, Iran might strike the USA.

How long will the war last? Multiple answers.

According to Haviv Rettig Gur, the US is in the war to interfere with China's purchases of Iranian oil. It also has the effect of disrupting shipments of Iranian drones to Russia for use in the Ukraine war.

I think the war is mainly to curtail Iran's ability to project force beyond its borders, through missiles, nukes (if developed), its navy, and proxies like Hezbollah. If those are the goals, the war should end very soon as those objectives have been accomplished, or nearly so.

Regime change is impossible as the IRGC has brutally suppressed any internal opposition leadership.
