is anyone else a progressive Republican?

What I mean by a progressive Republican—or, you could even call it a reform Republican—is someone modeled after figures like Abraham Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt, or even FDR. Although FDR was a Democrat, he drew on many classical Republican principles. Essentially, this type of Republican is strongly opposed to slavery—or, in a modern context, human trafficking—firmly against corruption in general, and also supports traditional Republican issues such as gun rights and the Constitution.

If conservatives support state rights why are they trying to deny the constitution and say elections should be federally run?

@Vin53 supporting state's rights doesn't really match what conservatives or the Federal government believe in.
Your views are wrong. And it makes perfect sense and the right thing as most educated people should understand that showing proper ID to vote follows any human decision to make you views count in any local state or federal decisions...like electing leaders to run any government decision.
The dems are against it because they want to cheat the system ...as clear as day

@Midlifemale pffftttt...what a crock! Tell me when in any election a vote has been swayed in the slightest bit by illegal votes. Go ahead, cite it. You can't. Its never happened. The amount of illegal votes in this country is infinitesimal simply for pragmatic reason alone.

If you're here illegally, are you going to risk getting arrested and deported simply to cast a single vote? NO! Of course you're not. You already went through so much just to get here and set up your life.

Its an absurd notion and you're not to be taken seriously for even suggesting it happens.
