Why do conservatives despise liberals so much?

In fact, there was much disagreement when Thomas Jefferson wanted to establish political parties to begin with. But listening to each other and working together is how we always got great things accomplished. Something that the kindergardners in Congress today don't know how to do.

@abe182: Because conservatives rationalize the situation, while liberals do not. I actually was just curious to how people would respond.

Liberal = Name calling, race card throwing, demanding fee rides.
Conservative = Adults with lives to lead and kids to educate.

Liberal = the product of generations of tweed clad crazy and weird sex fanatics.

Conservative = Average Joe and Jane work a day who isn't pessimistic and sick of hearing the "liberal" chants about anything goes and there's no God.

Liberal = Mob mentality thrill seeker nut who wants the world to adjust to them in the name of "tolerance."

Conservative = Regular person who wants to get used to the world as it is and knows that the more liberals keep changing the world the less people get along.

Conservative? Conserve what?
