Trump says he's thinking of putting Republican Senator Ted Cruz on Supreme Court.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas, Feb 27 (Reuters) - President Donald Trump on Friday said he was considering nominating Republican Senator Ted Cruz for a future seat on the U.S. Supreme Court, although Cruz last month said he was not interested.

Trump, introducing Cruz at a rally in Corpus Christi, called the Texas Republican "an amazing guy," joking that he would easily win confirmation from Democrats and Republicans in Congress alike because they wanted to get him out of the Senate.

"He's the only guy I know, he'll get 100% of the Democrat vote, 100% of the Republican vote. They want to get him out of there. He is such a pain in the ass, but he's so good and so talented."

Hopefully it will get tied up and no one gets the position. At this point anyone Trump picks would be a Trump supporter.

Barrett saw to that with last vote on tariffs, which actually happened after Trump's consideration of Cruz.
The President should appoint Whitney Hermandorfer a Sixth Circuit Judge @DeWayfarer

Nah, he's not qualified. I don't think he's ever worked for Fox in any capacity and certainly not on air.

There's no openings so this is just hot air

@Debbiegetsbelt2

Alito is rumored to be thinking about retiring while the Republicans still control the Senate.

@beckyromero we'll see.

The Democrats would never approve him. They hate him in the Senate, but they would hate him even more in a lifetime appointment on the Supreme Court. And Pedophile Cry-Baby-trump knows he wouldn't be able to count on him or his loyalty after such an appointment, so he will never nominate him. Boy-Lindsey Graham or Boy-Mike Johnson would be more likely choices.

@beckyromero Yes, even worse than they are. Cruz is hated on the magnitude of Matt Gaetz and looking below the surface of political reasons, he has a lack of humanity that Thomas, Alito, and Kavanaugh combined don't exude (COMBINED). Escaping the harsh Texas winter without heat by the hands of Republican politicians and blaming it "just trying to be a good dad" serves as only one meek example. And his (only) saving grace that he returned to Texas after getting caught in his escape and lie, highlights the depth of his inhumanity. With a lifetime appointment, he will be a worst evil, a more dangerous presence, and an unstoppable force as a Supreme Court Justice. Don't fall for his facial hair, sour smile, and cringe Italian mafia boss imitation.

Like claiming he would stop the war on Day-1 that is still raging in Ukraine, that the Iran nuclear program has been "totally obliterated" that he now ignores to justify an unauthorized and illegal war on Iran to stop Iran from being "1 week away from building a nuclear bomb," and that he has been "totally exonerated" from any misdeeds involving the Epstein Files while it appears more and more that he really did engage in acts of pedophilia, Pedophile Cry-Baby-trump declaring he is considering nominating Ted Cruz to the Supreme Court means absolutely (ABSOLUTELY) nothing. In fact, like his infamous stories that start with someone calling him, "Sir..." or that he won the 2020 election, he is, one more time, indicating he doesn't mean what he says.

He’s probably sorta right but I doubt it will happen.

@beckyromero Thanks for that. I am guilty of reading across from the general attitude shown to women in authority by the MAGA regime.
Cruz is too old @beckyromero

@jackjjackson

🤣 He's 55.

I favor legislation requiring that a SCOTUS nominee be at least 65.

The President should appoint Whitney Hermandorfer a Sixth Circuit Judge.

Naturally you'd back her.

She clerked for Brett Kavanaugh, Samuel Alito and Amy Coney Barrett.
Excellent choice. Smart. Young. Nothing there for gotcha commie questions. @beckyromero
