The eventual promised land was revealed to Abraham from God and it will extend from Euphrates to the Nile.. The OT promised land was not the prophecised fulfillment of Gods promise to Abraham.. It was only a portion of the land promised..
So no the Israel promised land did not extend from The Nile to the rivers of Iraq..
But a future promised land will cover all that land..
Have a read::
(Genesis 15:18-21) "In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates: {19} The Kenites, and the Kenizzites, and the Kadmonites, {20} And the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Rephaims, {21} And the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Girgashites, and the Jebusites."
The lands included in the above cover the Arabian Peninsular too..
Remember The LORD Jesus and God are One..

@sree251 Yes and No..
Yes The LORD Jesus is the same God who called Moses out of the wilderness to lead the Hebrews out of Egypt and establish the Old Covenant..
No. The High Priests of Jerusalem was not following God, But a twisted version of God that was based on a mixture of the traditons of men and The word of God..

Good response.
Every observation is subjective. Even if there are only ten observers in existence, their concurrent observation is also subjective. No alien life forms affirmed that we are human beings.
No, that's not what I am saying. Whatever is in my mind is not from Jesus of the Christian Bible. There was a human being whose yearning for a better world reached out and touched me directly.
Not in Jesuit school. My first formal lesson was Catechism in Sunday School at age 6. My grandma, a devout Catholic probably pumped a lot of stuff in me from the day I was baptized.
Agree. The trouble was that the deeper I went into my vocational education, the more circumspect I became. Is there any teaching, attributed to Jesus, that is not made up? My self-doubt came to a head when I started ministry work, the final stage of training before taking my vows. Standing up there, in church, assisting the priest in the performance of the mass, as the vicar of Christ, was the last straw. I felt like Jesus in the Garden at Gethsemane. I couldn't do it. I quit.
That is such a subjective answer, that actually it is meaningless.

Surely in your Jesuit College someone taught you the basics of Christianity?

Even the Roman Catholics believe that the New Testament is the foundation for their faith. I know enough of them to be sure of that. If there is no objective agreement over what Jesus taught, then whatever it is that comes from that is whatever you want it to be. Following Jesus Christ must mean following some teaching not just what you make up on the day you get up and feeling a particular mood.

Those that identify as caucasians in this country. And if you live in this world you know the history of America, you may know the history of black slavery by the Arabs to the British.
And you say not a good start to a discussion. My reply was made to the person and their reply concerning Christ and his teachings. And it's not the first time that person and I have had conversation, like it it's not the first time I've had a conversation with you.
Ok goodbye

Palestinians have way more Israelite ancestry than Jews, especially Ashkenazis. So the Zionist argument fails. But that aside, the double standards we have when it comes to religion are so glaringly insane. If a Muslim said that Muslims should control all of Europe, the entire West would lose their minds. But Christians and Jews can talk about how Jews should control all of the Middle East, and that's seen as a fair political opinion.

A pretty bad one. The more capitalist a country becomes, the less democratic is becomes. That's how we end up with Trump getting reelected, even though we all knew he was a war-monger back during his first term.
Yes, that's the shorter short version.
Like I said, I don't support apartheid or genocide in any form, but it is ironic that Zionists use ancestry as justification for apartheid, imperialism, and genocide. If we're really going by ancestry, the Palestinians are much closer to the original Israelites.
Yeah, that was back when Americans still cared about both America and global politics. Today, because of extreme Capitalism, we've become so alienated and nihilistic.
I'm a Socialist, but I'll admit that the earlier version of liberal Capitalism was so much better than what we have now.
We just joined the war with Iran. There is no support to do so from the American public but it is nevertheless drawn in. What kind of a democracy are we?

You are saying that the ancient Israelites practiced Yawism. Then a lot of Israelites became Christians after the coming of Jesus Christ. Other Israelites, under a class of priests called rabbis, developed Judaism. The adherents of Judaism are called Jews. Those Israelites who did not become Christians or Jews remained in place in Israel and became part of the people there now known Palestinians?

Agree. I am a capitalist, in principle. I like a society in which there is freedom for individuals to excel in any selfish endeavor. However, such freedom cannot violate basic laws that protect common rights of all individuals. The problem is the enforcement of those basic laws. The digit of society, namely the human being, is not only selfish but also corruptible. This leads to genocide, slavery, and apartheid. These things are realities in the bottom half of America's society and practically all societies of the third-world.
I didn't know he was a war-monger in his first term. He did kill Soleimani and bragged about it but he removed tensions with North Korea.
Why do you say that it is ironic that Zionists use ancestry as justification for apartheid, imperialism, and genocide? Based on your take, zionists are Jews with an ancestral connection to Israelites who practiced Yawism. Those Israelites, who did not convert to Judaism or Christianity, stayed in place and became Palestinians.
As they say, "you can't be a little pregnant". Capitalism is either extreme or it is not capitalism at all. Financial success is intoxicating. It's like a dash to the finish line. Safety net for the weak has to be in the form of homeless shelters and food pantries. Those in between will have to compete for what the going rates are for slaves. In China, extreme capitalism is not frowned on but oligarchy is. THE CCP is the nation's only oligarch.

He also increased drone strikes.
I think anyone who was really following politics at the time knew that Trump is just a puppet who does whatever the Deep State wants. The reason you didn't know is because most media is controlled by far-right billionaires. If you don't actually fact-check stuff, you're going to end up trusting the lies that 90% of the media is putting out. As I mentioned earlier, Trump constantly lies about having ended eight wars, and the media just repeats those lies.
Sure, but the Jews and Christians were spread out over the Middle East and Europe. This means that modern Jews have very little Israelite ancestry, most of it was bred out. The closest we have to original Israelites are the Palestinians, the very people that Zionist Jews want exterminated.
The DNA testing shows that Ashkenazi Jews are basically Europeans with very slight ancestry going back to the Middle East.
There are degrees of Capitalism. America and Germany are both capitalist, but Germany has way more pro-worker regulations and social programs.
However, I totally agree that any kind of Capitalism, over a long enough period of time, will lead to extreme Capitalism. This was Marx's idea of "Late Stage Capitalism." Capitalism creates a cycle that requires the government to continually redistribute wealth, like FDR did. If that doesn't happen, then society descends into Fascism, which is what happened in Europe and Japan. That's why I'm a Socialist. Even "good" Capitalism like the kind in Germany and Scandinavia will eventually become Late Stage Capitalism.

Thank you for your input. Hebrews is a treatise of the New Testament written for Jewish Christians who were persecuted, and driven out of Jerusalem by Roman authority that governed the region. The persecution began right after the crucifixion of Jesus whose tragic demise was caused by the sitting Jewish High Priest of Jerusalem who accused Jesus as an insurrectionist.
The situation today is a replay of what went on in the Holy Land when Jesus was killed and his followers were hunted down and massacred. Back then the guy in power was Pontius Pilate representing Rome. Today, it is Donald Trump wielding American military dominance of the Middle East. The guy playing the Jewish High Priest now is Netanyahu. And the poor suckers today playing the roles of persecuted Jewish Christians are the Palestinians. Same situation, different players.
Jesus is affirmed as the High Priest in Hebrews by Jewish authors who followed Jesus and regarded him as their Messiah. This was apostasy to Jewish authority of the day. Judaism was under attacked when Jesus came on the scene. Jesus upended Judaism when he preached that God was for all people and not just for the Jews. No chosen people.

Fair comment. Thank you for pointing it out. The Jesus story is a depiction, written by apostate Jews, of events illustrating how Christianity began. This breakaway from traditional Judaism started when a charismatic Jesus ( a Jew) was anointed by his followers (other Jews) who declared Jesus as the Messiah. The sitting High Priest of Jerusalem at that time was infuriated and successfully convinced the Roman governor to crucify Jesus and crush his followers who were demonized as Christian insurrectionists. They were hunted down and persecuted, even thrown to the lions in the Colosseum in Rome.
Paul was a Jew. He fabricated the Jesus story for the breakaway from Judaism, the religious rootstock from which Christianity sprang.
