@missyann You seem not to have noticed I named you in the long comment. Your 99.9 percent statistic is pure fiction as unreported rape is far too common for anyone to come up with such a statistic. Opposition to the death penalty comes from a feeling that the state does not have the right to decide who will live or die regardless of their conduct. In seeking to interfere with a private matter between a woman and her doctor, the anti-abortionists seem to want a police state where the government has tyranny over its citizens due to the voices of a minority of people. A democracy allows for the governments of a society to serve the people and not to rule over them. Allowing women to make their own moral decisions is not the same thing as sentencing the unborn to death as a woman has the option to continue her pregnancy. It's a complex moral decision which should be left up to the individual.

@Lukeman I go by the statistics we have if you think you have a more accurate one throw it out here. There are women who claim rape when they just get drunk and accidentally pregnant. I’m sure there are some women who don’t report it, but in today’s world that is a very low number.
You say the state doesn’t have a right to punish i and sentence those who have committed heinous, horrible crimes against humanity, especially children, but a woman has the right to sentence her unborn child the death penalty. These lives have done nothing to anyone. They are conceived by no fault of their own. Perhaps women should take responsibility for their actions. I don’t use rape and incest unless those are the only ones you would support getting abortions
I would prefer a national abortion ban but states are allowed to make the decision whether abortions are legal or not
I still believe murder should be against the law and women shouldn’t be the only ones allowed to commit this unless we make it legal for everyone to commit murder
You support the rights of women. I support the right of women and their unborn babies. No one should have the right to end an innocent life. When criminals who sentenced the death penalty it is because they are not innocent they are guilty
