Is it now socially acceptable to be racist ?

America is the divided one side outweighing the other side by a fraction.

America has been mainly racist, even some of those who vote against racism are racist but they had to look good in front of the world.

True Trump allowed them to come out and be socially acceptable again and I believe there are still quite a few hiding in the background.
It's been a while.

@EarthlingWise I doubt many people find that acceptable.
@LegendofPeza I do not doubt it a second.

Among some of us it will never be acceptable. 😳

Among other people it is, but only because they were always racist and now feel relief at not having to hide it.

In our country, they’re taking their cue from our current president and his minions. 😔

@bijouxbroussard The UK is on the same trajectory. Witness what the part owner of Manchester United had to say last week , and what was once the preserve of the extreme right is now common parlance across social media. People need to wake the fuck up.

@LegendofPeza What Sir Jim Radcliff said was quite calmly and effectively countered by the Prime Minister and Man Utd's own supporters' club who publicly disagreed and pointed out the factual errors in his speech. Then Nigel Farage gave a weasly interview in which he essentially said it did not matter that Radcliff misinformed as his views chimed with many voters . . and compounded this with more lies of his own.

People need to think for themselves and take responsibility for themselves and their communities.

Always has been. And everyone is a little bit. But specially those that claim not to be.
No, but in countries like the USA there are less and less consequences now.

Only when people stop calling out racist language and allow populist politicians to go unchallenged.
