In your opinion, when did the current extreme partisanship in US politics begin?

Reagan famously worked with a democrat congress.
Ruth Bader Ginsberg was confirmed with 96 votes in 1993
John Roberts was confirmed with 78 votes in 2005.
Samuel Alito had very little Democrat support in 2006
By 2008, there was very little across-the-aisle collaboration.

Personally I think it really became “us versus them” somewhere in the Kennedy election then worse when bill Clinton got impeached for not pleading the 5th. Bush is when it got seriously divided.
If only gore had pardoned bill clinton?
