Why are so many entertainers so pro-Democrat?

Help me understand, why are so many in the entertainment industry so heavily invested in Democrats?

The only reason I can think of is DRUGS. The more serious a politician is about stopping the illegal drug flow and distribution the louder the voices from the entertainment industry against that politician.

Virtue signalling.

They need to feel accepted and belong to their peer groups, and virtue signalling about leftwing values is the best way to do this. It's self-perpetuating. They get competitive with each other as to who can show their support more.

Also, note that White males have to signal harder, lest they get cancelled...that's why Mark Rufalo, Bruce Springsteen, and Neil Young are trying so hard...lest they get cancelled or dismissed for not being a good "ally".

@SumKindaMunster i dont think neil young, bruce springsteen nor mark rufalo are worried in the least about being canceled.

People with voices that are more likely to be heard are often compelled to use them.
Maga had hogan. They have kid rock.
Why do you not complain when they use their voices, or guns, to make political statements?

@Carla No? Have you heard this yet? 🤨

That is some desperate virtue signalling there, it's grating to even listen to it.

I'm not complaining, just observing.

The question was why are so many entertainers who are pro Democrat and I offered my opinion.

I don't really have a problem with the rhetoric of Kid Rock, and even if I did, there are plenty of nitwits willing to attack him for his political opinion.

Meanwhile Bruce gets lionized for being an out of touch limousine liberal trying to stay relevant.

You don't notice the double standard there? How the mainstream attacks anyone who doesn't conform?

@SumKindaMunster i really am not a mainstream watcher.
I have not heard ot yet. I never was a big Springsteen fan...but i will. Hang on...

@SumKindaMunster i am all for the message. We need more artists using their art to help put this shit to heel.
The tune sounds familiar. An original would have been good.
I hope more comes.

@Carla See, this is proving my point. He's virtue signalling and you are all in on the message.

It's a reworking of "Streets of Philadelphia" from some years back, that's why it sounds familiar.

I find it grating, annoying and very much a desperate attempt to stay relevant by showing support for the "current thing" that all these virtue signalling celebrities engage in.
