Can you MAGAs explain the whole Bad Bunny thing?

I am not at all familiar with this artist, so I don’t understand the controversy. Does he have some kind of political view or lifestyle you disagree with? There have been other performers with critical political views or controversial personal lives before, but I don’t remember this kind of meltdown….

It isn't a MAGA thing. I have been watching the Superbowl for decades and for the last many years the halftime show has been getting worse and worse. The main viewership of the actual football game is old men, like myself. The halftime show does not cater to the football fans anymore. I know nothing about this bad Bunny, other than his music is NOT what entertains us old men.

@OlderCouple halftime is a good opportunity to refill your snacks and make BM.

@trollslayer Or watch Animal Planet's PUPPY BOWL!!

@OlderCouple I don't like Bad Bunny's music either. I also didn't like Kendrick Lamar's performance last year. But I have no moral objection to Bad Bunny performing at halftime. MAGA does because... ya know.

@BohoBabe Yes -- it's not a question of musical taste for MAGAs, it's a question of "white" culture and supremacy. :(

@OlderCouple What? The Super Bowl is the most watched sporting event in the US and has been for a long time. Last year the viewership was about 126M

Old men aren't the only ones watching. .

@OlderCouple The NFL knows they already have us old guys pretty much locked in. They want to expand the brand. Young viewers need to be engaged to keep up. That's the future.

@GerOttman This is from AI so I don't know what it's worth.

Super Bowl viewership:

Gen Z (18–29) shows the highest, with 83% intent to watch. Adults 18–34 (75%) and 35–44 (70%) are the most engaged, though it has high appeal across all ages.

@MoveAlong yep, and they want to keep it that way. the international games and latino focus are growing the brand.
