It's not a question of quantity, but quality of training. What they get now a days tends to focus on confrontation, use of force, SWAT Teams, using all that surplus military equipment the Feds have handed out to them, etc. They need training in the old-fashioned skills of de-escalation situations, managing crisis situations without adding to them, and other skills they used to have under community policing where officers interacted with and knew those in the neighborhoods they patrolled and worked together with the community rather than bully it.

Exactly, the police have never abused their authority or misused their badge to get ahead in life. Humans are also not sinners, they are always doing the right thing.

Police in America are trained to lie, which they can do LEGALLY (Frazier v Cupp 1969), and they are trained to intimidate. They have qualified immunity which makes them unaccountable, and if they get caught red handed and do get fired, they just get another job in a different jurisdiction. If a lawsuit is involved, it's the taxpayer who foots the bill, not the cop or the police dept.

Tell that to those who were victim of police violence in spite of having done absolutely nothing

Police are indeed failing us. Then again my parents raised me to value human life and not shoot or thump the first person who annoys me.
