Sorry to get political but, why does the US think Denmark cannot defend Greenland?

It's not Denmark's job, it's NATO's - to whit, the US.

Right?

Plus of course Greenland has never been under threat of invasion.

@MaryJo1996 Which is dumb because it would cost more to extract them then they are worth. I doubt he's playing a hundred year long game for the investments too bar fruit.

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if he wants it because of its size because he's fooled by mercator projection maps...
