Leftist politics do not and never has been about culture war bullshit.

Liberals are not leftists. They are largely centre right people who are just more aware of optics and generally put large amounts of importance on outside validation of their viewpoints.



Libertarians and Ancaps ultimately are about everyone is free to do what they want including billionaire oligarchs who are given the freedom to subjugate the majority because stopping them would bet "government overreach."

Libertarians have nothing to do with identity politics internal conflicts.

@weirdbeatnik And with leftist parties, yes you will see more vetting. That is not about gate keeping. It is because at various points 1 out of 10 members of the CPUSA were FBI for example.

In my home country of the NDP which is basically the Bernie Sanders party of Canada they were under RCMP surveillance until 1993.

And they were not even the communist party. The Communist Party was outright banned at various points.

So yeah, they don't just take randoms off the street with no questions.
