When I was an officer in the Canadian Armed Forces part of our training was about the duty to refuse illegal orders. If you failed to ignore the illegal order you were would to be court marshalled. Just after the FLQ crisis in Quebec where the army went in to put down what was deemed an insurrection where a British diplomat was kidnapped and a Quebec politician was kidnapped and then killed someone asked my Commanding Officer what he would do if the orders came down to stamp out nascent separatism in Alberta. The old man snorted and said "Send the troops back to the barracks such an order would be illegal. When the covid protests were going on in Ottawa the Prime Minister ordered the troops in to put down the protests. The officers sent a very politely worded FU to the PM and the troops stayed out of the protest. The order they received was illegal. Canadians have a right to protest.

Considering such an order would be in violation of laws/treaties approved by congress, i would think such an order is inherently illegal. The president should then be immediately removed from office by the congress, and the president and anyone obeying such an order brought up on charges. This, of course, if the congress of the United States had the juevos that South Korea has.

Are you assuming a draft?
Because that would be the only order, that a president would give to a civilian, during a war time situation. The military most certainly wouldn't want me, at my age. Previous training or not. 🤣

@beckyromero Then how could he order any civilian to do anything?
That is my point! He can't "order" civilians. There's nothing to "refuse". 🤷🏻♂

@beckyromero This post. Not the other one...
And if you ment just showing an posterboard, with civilians holding it up, it still would apply to them by Trump.
But I also wanted an ad with ordinary citizens saying, "You MUST refuse to obey illegal orders."

They should refuse illegal orders, of course.

I recommend that you accept that you will lose additional elections. Acting like a crazy cat lady won’t make future election results more palatable to you.

Oh? Can you prove that or are you just running your mouth? @trollslayer
