Is longetivity a solvable problem?

Elon Musk says that we are all pre-programmed to die as the body grows old and breaks down. If we change the program, he says, we will live longer. Musk thinks it is a solvable problem. What do you think?

Why would you want to? There is a better life waiting when this one is over. I fully enjoy this life and hope to remain here as long as I can but to keep doing what I have been doing since I was a kid????? Yeah there comes a time to move on.

You believe in the afterlife in Paradise. Much as you enjoy this life, your ability to do so diminishes with the aging of the body that is programmed to grow old and wither. Tik tok shows movie stars when they were young standing side by side with themselves when they were old. Anyone old looking at himself in the mirror would want to move on to Paradise.

@sree251 I do not believe in paradise. I believe in Heaven which is an entirely different concept. What is planted does not look anything like what is produced.

Paradise is another term for Heaven. Why do you want to muddy the water?

@sree251 Because paradise is not the same as heaven. Paradise is an ideal earth. The Garden of Eden was paradise. Heaven is a very very different concept. It doesn't involve human bodies

So, Paradise is in this realm of reality: peace on earth, a perfect world without human conflict, free of want and pestilence.

Heaven is a very very different concept. It doesn't involve human bodies

Is this concept beyond human understanding?

@sree251 One would think so. Jesus said that we shall be like the angels. Our biology and its urges will be gone.
