Yep. Utter hypocrites. Same as all partisan statists.

The exact reverse of your example is true of the blue team. Its the "left" "right" march of authoritarianism.

Time to stop participating in this rigged game (we arent voting ourselves out of this), getting tricked by taxonomy and stand on principle.

@gol979 there is a slim chance to save democracy in America, and that is for the Dems to regain the House in November.

If they don’t, then all is truly lost.

This is typical of these people. When they're in the minority, when they have no power, they claim that all they ever wanted was to exercise their rights. Then, as they gain traction, they start to oppress others. Ever has it been thus.

Has there been a time in recent US history where the authorities cannot ask for ID on the spot?

UK law is a bit different there, you end up identifying yourself but are not obliged to carry ID.

Genuinely curious.
EBSVC · 41-45
@meJess It’s the same here for citizens

Immigrants usually have to carry their papers

@meJess that wasn’t the point of my post.

@SW-User no you were claiming something new towards ID law in the US when actually nothing has changed. That’s why I asked the question.
And another user gone... I'm not even sure who this was anymore, but I think it was a fairly long time member as I usually don't respond to new ones immediately jumping into certain topics. 🤔

@meJess no I wasn’t. In fact, itsmemorgue got it right when she said

There is an old saying excuses pleases those who make them.

They had their excuses in 21 and they have their excuses now, boiling down to do as I say in either scenario.

Extreme irony. At some point I hope these tortuous mental gymnastics will encourage some MAGA supporters to think for themselves and abandon their idol.

This is like comparing apples and pears. These examples make no sense.

@FoxyGoddess Maybe stop polishing your halo for a few minutes...ha ha

@SW-User Don't need to. You're doing it for me! 😊
@FoxyGoddess dont worryyy youre legit going back and forth with a non american MAGA that doesnt even think for himself not worth the time ;)

There's no principle to any of it. It's selfishness and power-mongering.

@NerdyPotato No that’s what they think
@EBSVC as you used "they" instead of "us" I'll still consider it sarcasm.
EBSVC · 41-45
@NerdyPotato Yea as long as you take that to be what MAGA actually thinks you can call it whatever you want

You’re worried it’s what I think and no, it isn’t

Empathy isn’t a bad word in my life
