independentone No, there is a bit of a difference between Hitler of the 1930s and Trump of 2026.
The difference is that Hitler could not achieve his objectives alone because he was a virtual unknown in Germany prior to the 1930s. Hitler then partnered with Mussolini of Italy who was an extremely popular man among his fellow countrymen. Hitler on the other hand was a reclusive isolationist who was never popular among anyone except the very poor in Germany.
Hitler then piggybacked on Mussolini's inherent popularity and then deceived Mussolini into backing Hitler's NAZI party, which was a right-wing political party that represented factory workers and farmers, both groups of which were very poor and underpaid.
Mussolini got in so deep with Hitler that he couldn't get out without risking the end of his own political career, so he helped Hitler to achieve his objective, but which did not include the Genocide imposed on Jews by Hitler. Now Mussolini found himself involved with the Genocide by default.
Trump on the other hand is operating alone using his right-wing MAGA party which no longer represents the Republican vote in America. In fact, the Republican Party no longer exists in principle in the USA.
The thing is, Trump cannot do what Hitler tried to do in annexing all of Europe for Germany's benefit because of two things... 1) the USA is technically bankrupt because the country is $38 Trillion in National Debt and 2), the USA has completely lost all credibility around the world and therefore has lost all relevancy on the world stage because of Trump and his MAGA Party.
What this means is, Trump is a one-man band trying to duplicate what Hitler did but he has no other country to back his efforts, unless of course Trump is actually working for Putin and it is Putin who is calling the shots in American politics today.
The question is, who is Trump actually working for? ...because Trump is not a smart enough man to come up with all this annexing stuff on his own.
