Business and corporate taxes? Are they taxes on the poor?
Business and corporate taxes? Are they really taxes on the poor?
When a business gets taxed, the tax is simply factored into the selling price of the products and/or services sold. Sold to anyone who buys the product or service, regardless of whether the purchaser is rich or poor, or anyone between the two.
So when politicians scream and demand that businesses pay more taxes, is it really a back door trick to force everyone, including the poor and the very poor to pay higher prices for everything they purchase?
If the poor outnumber the rich, then business taxes are a greater burden for the poor than the rich?
Makes one wonder if politicians who scream for higher business taxes are doing so with the intent of keeping the poor poor, thus more in need of government dependency to make ends meet. When in reality, eliminating taxes on businesses would result in lower prices that are more affordable for for the poor and the very poor.
