How Is The US Going to Assume Leadership in Venezuela

Anyone have any ideas? Is there a viable opposition group that can take over? Is trump going to fly in cronies and install them? Will they meet resistance. There may be some work left to do there before we're in charge.

Didn’t they already democratically elect a government or am I missing something ?

@AthrillatheHunt The truth is that how Venezuela governs itself and selects its leaders is up to Venezuela. No one else gets to do foreign interference.

@hippyjoe1955 yes that’s the truth. What part of THEY already democratically elected a government contradicts this ?

@AthrillatheHunt My point was that I have no idea how Maduro got to power or if the elections were democratic or not. What I do see is the US isn't electing its leaders democratically either so that isn't a metric the US can use.

@hippyjoe1955 we can use whatever metric we want . We don’t even have to be consistent . We do what we want bc we can. Might makes right.
