How important is being an "aesthetic person" when pretending to build a battleship (that will never be built)?

We've long needed a replacement for the Ticos. Turns out the Burkes ended up do that.

Now Trump is proposing Alaska-class size World War II battlecruisers to replace the Burkes.

It's the wrong approach.

But we do need more ships. And they should be anti-missile platforms (that can lob around Tomahawks, too.) In otherwords, a successor to the Ticonderoga class cruisers. And more destroyers and more frigates. And at least four more aircraft carriers - carriers that we already have; that we just don't need to retire: Nimitz, Eisenhower, Vinson and Roosevelt. Refuel them for another 25 years until we can start replacing them with the Ford-class on a one for one basis once we have 15 battlegroups.

@beckyromero As with everything else he touches, Pedophile and Convicted Felon Cry-Baby-trump is failing at this. And yes, I know he has (fake) bone spurs and that his uncle worked at MIT.
